Work Order and Sales Orders on Hold

Hi,

"It is important to note that the sales order drives changes that impact related work orders, not the other way around.  All changes should be initiated from the sales order side as manual changes to the work order will not write back to the associated sales order"

What does it mean exactly?

In fact, when putting manualy a work order on hold (with a hold status code defines on P48013 processing options), the associated sales order goes on hold but the work order remains at the same status.

Can somebody explain????

Thank you!
