Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. Why do Trade-in assets need to be entered through Asset Express Add?

Navigation is: Asset Management > Financial Management > Owned Assets > Basic Add.

Entering asset info on the Asset Information page.

When trying to select "Trade in" from the Acquisition Code, the following error displays:

"Enter Trade-in assets through Asset Express Add (8010,101).

A similar error occurs when trying to select "Like-Exchange". The error is "Enter Like-Kind-Exchange assets through Assets ExpressAdd. (8010,129)

Can you explain why?
