Fixed Asset Upload to modify values in existing asset

We are currently on E1 9.1 Tools Release 9.1.2

We would like to make some changes in few columns like Serial Number, Cat Code, etc. to our existing Fixed Asset Master and would like to know what would be the best approach to make it user friendly. Here are few options that comes to my mind:

1.i. Inquire and download existing records from "Work with Assets" P1204 W1204C

   ii. Create customized Grid to "Inbound Asset Master/Eq Tag Inquiry - Work With Unedited Asset Master Transactions" screen -P1201Z1 W1201Z1B and then upload/paste the changes and

   iii. Run the Inbound Asset Master Processor - R1201Z1I
