Move to new hardware

we are moving our 12cOEM cloud control (12.1.0.3) to new hardware. While we move, we want to also upgrade to 12.1.0.4.

So, is the best approach is to follow-ow to Upgrade to EM 12c R2 - Two System Method (Doc ID 1363162.1) ? Or any better approach?
