Solaris 11.1 zone migration between differing hardware.

I have several zones which reside entirely on SAN luns and have experience moving them from server to server without issue as long as the hardware is either the same or at least close ie... T5240 -> T4-2. I wondered though about moving them to entirely different hardware platforms like T5240 - M5000 global zones. Is this possible? Supported? Would the attach command require the -U or -u? Just looking for tips.
