Hello,

We are on R12.1.3

Issue:

Create Asset # 111, with DPIS = 01-FEB-1995, life 10 yrs, cost = 50,000.

This asset is created in Oracle in JUL-14.  So, it is fully depreciated.

Hence, YTD = 0 and Accumulated dep = 50,000

Did initial Mass Copy and found that YTD = Accum Dep = 50,000.  Expectation was to have YTD = 0 and Accum Dep = 50,000.  Same as Corporate book.

As per Initial And Periodic Mass Copy Calculates Wrong YTD By Simply Making It Same As LTD (Doc ID 1466595.1),

This is expected functionality.

The reason is when we add asset with backdated DPIS and without reserve and YTD, all the deprn expense is accounted in current open period as deprn adjustment amount which we normal call it catchup amount. Thus adjustment amount happens in the period of addition, so it's also included in YTD and it equal to LTD.
