Performance impact for different size disk groups.

What will be the performance impact if i create disk groups with different size disks?

I need to create a 500G diskgroup, for which i was thinking of using 5*100G disks upfront but in future for any data growth, can i add 25G disks to the disk group. If yes what will be the performance impact.

Did anyone out there are using mixed disk sizes.

I already went through the thread https://community.oracle.com/thread/2365635?tstart=0, but saw some mixed conversations.
