SES AutoExpand Option Appears Not to be Working

We've set our SES altWord list to the following: (only an excerpt):

   <search:altWord>

      <search:keyword>AP</search:keyword>

      <search:atlKeyword>Accounts Payable</altKeyword>

      <search:autoExpand>FALSE</autoExpand>

   </search:altWord>

Expected Result: A search for "AP" would prompt the user to also search for "Accounts Payable"

Actual Result: Search results return as if SES auto-expanded.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this is occurring when not desired?
