How to enter life of an asset in days

Hi,

We have a requirement wherein we want to enter the life of an asset in days, which do not round off to complete years and months that Oracle provides for by default. For example, the life of an asset is to be entered as 2 years, 2 months and 15 days. The best that we can do in the current system is enter Years = 2, months = 2, which leaves out the days.

This is important for us since it has an impact on the per day depreciation. Entering the life in complete years and months will result in writing off an asset faster each month than it actually should. While the excess depreciation per asset would be small, the value would be huge when seen over all the assets in a corporate book seen together.
