Stopping the Depreciation of an Asset

Is there a way to stop an asset depreciating for a period of time? We buy inventory items that are installed onto a network and are created as Assets when they are installed. Depreciation starts and the remaining life reduces as depreciation is run each period. The items have a warranty period so if the item fails during the warranty period it will be uninstalled and returned to the supplier for refurbishment. While it is at the supplier being refurbished I need to stop the depreciation and the remaining life reducing. I can set the Depreciate Flag to No while
