Is there a method or command to tell if a SAN device is used?

I have a five-node, rhel 5 x86-64 cluster running grid Infrastructure 11.2.0.4.3.  It is dedicated to Oracle; no other clients use it.  Its SAN storage is visible off /dev/mapper.   Initially, all the devices listed there had entries in multipath.conf and aliases.  The aliases are descriptive; for example. asm_01 - asm_12 is for ASM data disk groups, and ocr_vote_0[1-3] for the VOTE disk group.  The owner, group and permissions are set correctly, and oracle recognizes them.  We also have a SAN volume group where the Oracle binaries are installed.  Its logical volume is listed in multipath.conf, with alias lv_u01.  Both the
