Asset Management Archiving Questions - Best Practices

We recently updated to 9.2 PeopleSoft and have started to look into archiving Asset Management. Below are a few questions that I have:

  • Pg 575 of PeopleBooks states that "Before you archive inactive asset information, you should keep these generalguidelines in mind: You cannot archive: Retired Assets"
    • Can you explain the best practices surrounding when we should arvhive? My initial thought had been that we would only archive retired assets.  Do we need to change the status of our retired assets to something else to make them inactive so that we can archive them.
  • Can we still load and run delivered reports from the depr reporting table once data has been moved to the history tables?
