EPMCSS-05261:Failed to get Native Group information. Error getting some of the assigned user entries

I'm receiving the following error in Shared Services (11.1.2.3.500) "EPMCSS-05261:Failed to get Native Group information. Error getting some of the assigned user entries. Verify user directory status and configuration".  After searching all over trying to find a resolution to the problem I've come to the conclusion that there used to be utility supplied with Hyperion EPM to correct the external user directory but Oracle has apparently decommissioned this utility with no replacement or any way to remedy the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I have already tried deprovisioning the group, removing/readding users from the group so hopefully somebody has a more professional way of handling this issue then those two band-aide solutions.
