Requisition Accounting Date

Hi - if a Requisition was created in a previous month, but wasn't approved correctly. Even though we can now approve this, because the previous period is closed, it's not allowing us to do this, by referring to the accounting period. We are in version 12.1.3, where do we change the accounting period in the requisition? In our test system, I re-opened the period and was able to complete the process so I know there's no other issue with this requisition. Any advice? Thanks
