Moving from Excel Add-in to Smartview: best practices

Dear All,

In my company we have installed the new version of Essbase (11.1.2.3 ) and the last Smartview release (11.1.2.5.210).

Till now we used the old Excel Addin and we have a lot of report and retrieve.

My question is: Could we retrieve "easily" those reports in the new smartview? Do you now if there some best prectices to speed up  the conversion?

What I discover is that if we don't pre-connect each single worksheet to the database, the retrieve will give us some error messages (so basically I choose the database from the panel in order to have the Essbase tab and then I retrieve the worksheet).
