APEX and database link

We have installed a 11G  and apex 4.2.5 on AIX

I'm new with apex

is it possible to work with remote database ?

i explain

i created a workspace DCG63  for an application

but i need to use tables in remote database

I have creatde a database llink and synonyms in DCG63 for the remote database

but when i want to create SQL or new application in DCG63  i don't see my synonyms and APEX asks to me a table name
