system-config-lvm Changes will take effect after computer is restarted

Hi,

I've got several virtual Oracle Linux 6.5 servers, running the UEK kernel on VMWare where I have problems adding new disks.  We are using the gui, system-config-lvm because some of our junior admins need a gui.  What happens is the gui sees that there is a new disk just fine.  Here is what we are seeing:

1.  The disk is showing under the Unitialized Entities.  We select the disk and chose Initialize.
2.  The next screen tells us that all data on disk entity /dev/sdX (X meaning any drive letter can be here) will be lost!  Are you certain you want to initalize it?.  We say Yes.

Howdy, Stranger!
