Significance of Template functionality in SIM 14.0.

Hi,

Kindly explain what is the advantage or significance of Template functionality in SIM 14.0.

It is described in user guides as performing inventory adjustments for frequent items in store. So what is the importance of this functionality. The template functionality also contains the same inv reason codes. Also give few examples related to it.
