Most prevalent programming language used to create Oracle applications

I know this questions is loaded with a lot of that depends.. In general what are a majority of applications which use Oracle databases in the field and used by corporations written in? I would think Java. Would Java be the most prevalent programming language used to write applications which use Oracle database as their database? If that is the case then I guess the most widely used driver is JDBC?

If someone were to aspire to be an Oracle application developer should they learn Java more than any other language? I would imagine learning PL/SQL would also be something to know as an application developer for Oracle databases?
