How can we re-open Permanatly Closed period under 'Control Purchasing Periods'

Procurement Guru;

We are on Oracle EBS release 12.1.3

This is our Aug-2014 fiscal month-end closed.

Our Data Center accidentally closed our Purchasing fiscal calendar for month of Aug-2014. Our Aug-2014 fiscal calendar under 'Control Purchasing Periods' screen has a Status Period of 'Permanenlly Closed'.

I have the following questions:

  1- What is the impact to our Procurement transactions since this period is closed?

  2- How can we re-open this Aug-2014 period now?

I thank you in advance for your assistance as this is a production issue and we need to resolve it before Monday, 8/25.
