Difference between ASCP sourcing rule and source instance sourcing rule?

Hi All,

What is the difference between sourcing rule/SR assignment as in ASCP instance and the source EBS instance? I realized few differences in the SR assignment screen in terms of the values in the LOV of assignment level. There seem to be some additional values in ASCP screen.


I have had the understanding that like other components SR is also collected from source instance and maintained in ASCP instance. Is it so? If yes, then it means that one need not define SR rules and assignment in the ASCP instance. What if someone defines values in ASCP instance which is not there in source instance, how does the planning tackles it?
