Howto Repairing Faulted ZFS pool that would not import?

Here is the current status of the pool:

# zpool import

  pool: pool-0

    id: 9431753773695395731

state: UNAVAIL

status: The pool metadata is corrupted.

action: The pool cannot be imported due to unavailable devices or data.

        The pool may be active on another system, but can be imported using

        the '-f' flag.
