Modifying JDE.INI on Iseries

Hi, My JDE CNC knowledge is a litle rusty, we are trying to get the IWay adaptor working for JDE E1 Xe on Iseries; i have modified the JDE.INI KER_DEF6 and KER_DEF15 as per document.  To delpoy the changes to Production should i recompile JDE.ini (iSERIES) and bounce the systems for the changes to take effect. What is the correct procedure for modifying an deploying changes to INI?
