cost centre codes and mapping to cost centre name

Does Oracle EBS r12 have the concept of cost centre names/descriptions? if so what table are they stored in, and how can they be joined to gl_code_combinations - which stores the cost centre code.

For example cost centres often represent teams/departments/projects in an organisation - I wondered if the database/application stores details about cost centre names which can be tied to the cost centre code? This is r12, any sample SQL most welcome.
