Oracle Database Appliance Migration best practices: Why you want to understand how the ODA is Unique

Greetings all:

I recently copied a portion of a thread from the generic database admin community which points out an interesting dilemma:
Some of the most experienced Oracle DBAs can make reasonable assumptions based on years of experience working with Oracle when moving to the ODA.

These assumptions can lead to bypassing the architectural advantages and engineered solutions built into the ODA.
While this would seem harmless enough as good DBA's have the ability to find and create working solutions as a part of their skillset, for the ODA this can result in some very bad outcomes.

Perhaps the easiest phrase the describes a downward spiraling usage of the ODA (from a support perspective) is:
