Sun Ray 3 shows connectivity, but no GUI

I inherited a Sun Ray environment and we recently received some Sun Ray 3 + clients.  I plugged one in, turned it on and I get an IP address and I ran a utquery using that IP and I get the info, but the client doesn't display a gui.  I see the "22 B" code, but that's as far as it goes.  All my other clients are Sun Ray 2's so I don't know if it's a firmware thing or if I need to run a command from the server to get the GUI running.  Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
