How does drilldown work?

How does this work? If lets say I came from account view and on my lower applet contains all my orders of that account then I drilldown on one of the order after drilling down the order record and going to the order view will I still be able to query other record or is it only the record that I have drilldowned to that are visible?

I tried going to the order view and saw that I can query other record fine but if i came from the account view and drilldown on the order number to go to the order view it doesnt seem to contain any other record except the one you drilldown to. Can anyone explain this behavior and is there a way to overcome this?
