Can Data Guard be confiugred without SYS user in 11.2.0.4?

Hello,

I have question regarding Data Guard 11.2.0.4 confiugraiton: can it be configured with diffrent user than SYS (I assume that SYS account is locked and password are not necessarly synchronised) and if so what are minimal privilages required for this user?
