I'm Interested in your experiences with the LDMP2V Migration Process

Hi All,

We are currently looking to migrate some Solaris 10 environments from Sun T2000's to Oracle T5-2 LDOMs.

On the face of it, the provided LDMP2V script and process looks to be ideal.

However, after a few days of looking at it, we are becoming more and more frustrated and disappointed.

Is anyone successfully using this process to migrate environments?

Issues we have found so far:-

1) No support for SVM Soft Partitions

This isn't mentioned in any of the documentation (apart from support calls on MOS).

We have used soft partitions extensively, so we are having to exclude a large amount of our filesystems from this process and planning to sync them across later.
