Hello,

Can anyone help with this error: [INS-40719] IP address configured for Single Client Access Name (SCAN):oradb-scan is already assigned to another system.

I get this error in the installation of grid infrastructure 11gr2 . I have entered a DNS entry for oradb-scan pointing to three ip addresses which are of two cluster nodes and the heartbeat address of cluster.

And in /etc/hosts , i have the ip addresses of the nodes.

Am i missing anything else in the configuration of this part? And what should be added in /etc/hosts for oradb-scan ?
