I am getting error "FRM-40654: Record has been updated. Requery block to see change." when i try to

We have a Status code that we Inactivated in 2013 but now want to re-use it. When we try to delete the Inactive date the following error pops up "FRM-40654: Record has been updated Requery block to see change."

Does any one know how we can fix this?
