can we upload opening stock in a different UOM other than primary uom

Can we upload opening stock in purchasing unit of measure. For example: One item X having primary UOM '1 CTN x 2 PACKS x 500 GRAMS' and secondary uom is 'Grams'. all our transactions were based on the current primary UOM. now supplier changed the packing format and he is supplying in '1 CTN x 4 PACKS x 500 GRAMS' packing format. all new purchases and current stock is available in '1 CTN x 4 PACKS x 500 GRAMS'. Can we upload the stocks in this format.
