Does projects integrate with Absence management?

Hi,

I've asked this on the HR community but someone in the Projects world may have had this problem

I'm at a client upgrading to 12.2 and looking to use Absence Management - and integrate with OTL.  However they are a major project organisation and must have projects on the timecard.  My understanding is that the absence integration only work with pure payroll timecards.  Is that the case?

If so, are there any recognised workarounds or is it customisation?
