Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. What causes the SL48 to rescan a tape label after it has been loaded and scaned?

It appears to me that I have a case of the SL48 forgetting the label-id of a tape after it was used (loaded and unloaded several times) by Netbackup.

When/how often does the SL48 rescan a tape label?

Will there be an entry made in the internal log(s)?
