Is it possible to execute bursting via an after trigger for BI Publisher 11g (OBIEE).

I have number of reports with after triggers and bursting. The after trigger on the datamodel updates the source db to signify that bi publisher has processed that record, with generation date etc. Unfortunately the after trigger takes place before the bursting query and the update to same bi publisher has completed the tasks is a little premature. I have seen that it is possible to execute bursting via a trigger in EBS. But have not found if it is possible  in BI Publisher 11.1.1.7(OBIEE).

Any help would be much appreciated.
