Configured items pricing for internal orders

We are implementing the internal orders process and are NOT using the advanced pricing module.  Once the item is configured on the customer order, the new item (configured plus 6 digits) should go on the intercompany price list.  This is not happening.  How would I go about getting it on the price list without having to manually add it every time?
