Has anyone encountered a problem with search/match in add/update a person when using email address a

Has anyone encountered a problem with search/match after applying HR Bundle 20 in add/update a person when using email address as part of a rule? Whenever email address is introduced on the page, s/m doesn't recognize duplicates and creates a new person.  Other s/m rulesthat don't include email address work correctly.

We're on CS 9.0, patched through CS Bundle 33 and HR Bundle 25.
