Fixed Assets: Required no of accounts for FA Disposal Process

Hi All, A quick Q on JDE Disposals.

As per JDE Implementation guide, 3 accounts are required in JDE for disposal processing - please refer doc attached - Disposal Example as per JDE Implementation guide - for details.

Now, client (where a new JDE implementation is being done), is using 2 accounts. Please refer example as below:

Client has following accounts in our GL setup. They are both level 6 accounts.

9015	Fixed Assets-WDV on Disposal
9020	Proceeds on Sale of Assets

The entries then probably will be:

1. 1115.TRADING  (Cash) Dr         10,000

9020 (Proceeds on Sale of Assets)  Cr         10,000

Cost Cr         50,000

Accum Depnt Dr         25,000

9015 (Fixed Assets-WDV on Disposal) Dr           25,000
