I am Implementing Oracle Process Manufacturing, R12.

We use material batch allocations to plan ahead and allocate specific lots to manufacturing batches.

In reality, physical quantities (weight) often vary from the quantities registered in the ERP  due to the nature of the ingredients (powders & fluids).

Our ingredients are weighed and labeled just before they are issued to the batch. Actual  weighed quantities often fall slightly short off the required quantities in the formula in this is the source of our problem.

Before we implemented OPM the operator would simply take the missing quantities from the next available lot. Now, with precise allocations in OPM you can't just take the next available lot.....

Howdy, Stranger!
