Yesterday on Solaris 10 I wanted to make a recursive snapshot of rpool: zfs snapshot -r rpool@now. Immediately the pool got filled to a 100%. I doubt that a file changed 16 GB immediately after I created the snapshots. Removing the snapshots released the space right away.

What can it be? The rpool is 50 GB, it had 16 GB free when I made the snapshot. And they all disappeared.

Thanks
