APC Implementation design considerations

Hi Folks

We are in 11i and planning to go to R12 by early 2015. Planning to implement APC in 11i now. Going forward in R12, will the APC license suffice or do we need to also buy license for Product hub add-on? Please help explain any other design considerations that we need to keep in mind.
