Hello Team

We are using mutipathing and udev rules for managing the ASM disks at operating system level.

Later they are beeing used to add in asm disk group.

We have found that one LUN is of 3TB allocated from storage but due to operating system restriction its formatted only 2 TB and added to the FLASH disk group.

See the result.below...

######################################

[root@ora01-nic ~]# fdisk -l /dev/mapper/flash1

Disk /dev/mapper/flash1: 3298.5 GB, 3298534883328 bytes

255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 401024 cylinders

Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes

I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes

Disk identifier: 0xb875576c

Howdy, Stranger!
