R12 PPR Error

When submitting a PPR iam getting a "You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact the System Administrator for assistance."

On checking, there are other Payment Request in status 'Processing'. These payments are for old periods and we need to cancel them but the Terminate button is disabled for some and for the ones enabled, if you click the error messsage 'You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact tisplays.he System Administrator for assistance' displays and user is logged out.

This is urgent as we are unable to do batch payments now.

We are on R12 12.1.3, running on linux red hat 5
