Inserting Russian Characters with NLS_CHARACTERSET=WE8DEC

Hello,

Customer trying to insert russian characters into an 11.1.0.7 DB with character set WE8DEC but the information inserted does not look right (garbage).


First: Does this character set support russian?

And if so, what is the proper way to insert and retreive russian characters?


The customer runs a homegrown app. They would like to know what modifications they need to do to support this.
