How to measure rate of user login in OID

Hi

I want to find out the number of user authentication connections made on OID (10.1.4) per hour/day

I have found an MOS doc (id 1302103.1) but is there a simpler way to do it without having

to enable stats?

Could we get an estimate (this is all that is needed) from the odi logs or the netstat port connections at all?

Any help is appreciated
