Future Dated Payments

hello

We are on 12.1.1 and  using Future dated payments functionality . The day we create the check for future date we do create accounting -Final Post on the same day. We have scheduled Update matured Bills payment status . The day it reaches to maturity date and request -Update matured Bills paymennt status runs on its scheduled time after that we need to do create accounting again for this paymenht. Why So?
