How do we make EPMA dimension server highly available wihout installing Oracle clusterware?

Since load balancing EPMA dimension server is not supported, how can we make it highly available without installing Oracle Clusterware in EPM 11.1.2.2?

There's a support document below in MOS where you could standup another server and run scripts to make EPMA Dimension server avialable in case of failure, but it appears to have expired in 2013
