Can PO price changes be initiated by the system?

A buyer entered a standard PO (1002532) in March

Rev 0 in March

• 1 line for an inventoried item at $15.25 per gallon, Qty 19,267

• 1 shipment to one location.

• Between Rev 0 and Rev 1 there were 10+ receipts, matched/paid invoices

Rev 1 in early July was a qty change

• Qty increased 3,000 at line and shipment to 22,267

• No issues at this point

Rev 2 in late July was a qty and price change

• Qty increased 7,733 at line and shipment to 30,000

• Price increased 0.9608 to 16.2108

• The buyer acknowledges changing the quantity

• The buyer “insists” they did nothing to change the price (and had no intention of changing the price).

• The new price is 6.3% higher, which is exactly our overhead burden charged to inventory during receipt/delivery.

Howdy, Stranger!
