Factors determining IB products creation through SO

Hi,

Could you please tell what are the determining factors for an item style to have a product created in IB through Sales Order. Does the two check boxes(Track in Installed Base & Enable Contract coverage) in inventory screen alone determine this? Are there any profile options that must be enabled for creating products automatically from Orders?
