Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Closing of GL Periods

Hello Everyone,

Is its possible to permanently close the GL module even if accounting entries from FA (Fixed Asset) are still not transferred and posted to GL?

We haven't utilized our FA yet and all entries regarding fixed asset are either manually entered to GL or monitored through Excel.

The management have decided to not use anymore the module.

What are the effects of the this situation?
